Last two weeks of this training cycle and I am going heavy on my 3 main lifts to see where I am thus far. I feel I have really applied myself more this training cycle on my squat and deadlift than I have in a long time. Reason being I am fully healed up from my past two surgeries and feeling good and confident in where I am. I am 42 years old and feel stronger in both my squat and deadlift than I ever have in my lifting career at any point.
My next meet will be the end of the year so I am really pushing mental and physical barriers for myself to get prepared for my next training cycle so I can push towards the goals I am setting for myself. I do believe they are achievable. I also believe that I am on track to hit the numbers I am looking to hit in 5 more months.
Today went well for me taking my final heavy squats for this training cycle. I hit 865 pounds with minis to pretty close depth with good speed and control. I am truly believing in my squat right now....
