I'm getting back to some real basic training. Ideally I have one more meet remaining in my powerlifting career. As of now I plan on that meet sometime in the fall or early winter 2019. Based on that for the next few months I'll we doing some basic training and doing things to make movements more challening using lower weights.

 

Saturday

SS Yoke bar, box squats - box set 1" above parallel

these were done without holding the handles on the bar (hands free)

worked up to 405 for 3 sets of 5 reps

 

GHR

3 sets of 8 reps paused

 

stiff leg dumbbell deadlifts

65's for 4 sets of 12 reps

 

Sunday

bench

worked up to 225 for 8 sets of 2 reps

 

slight decline dumbbell bench

70's for 4 sets of 10 reps

 

bent over dumbbell rows

70's for 3 sets of 10 reps

 

JM presses with SS Yoke bar

135 for 3 sets of 10 reps

 

barbell curls

empty bar for 3 sets of 10 reps
