Yea, today is my birthday. I have had quite a few HBD offered and it's only 9:25 PST. I am blessed beyond words, to say the least. I wanted to share a note that I received from one of my people that have moved away, not so much as a "HEY LOOK AT ME!" but more for those who want to stay in the profession for many years.
I have asked many "Professionals" what our product is. I have gotten the standard answers:
- Strength
- Conditioning
- Weight Loss
- Weight Gain
- Speed
- Flexibility
- Health
I say, YES...but they are in fact the serendipity of our main product which is RELATIONSHIPS.
We offer the seven things above, but we SELL relationships.
It's much harder to quit a relationship than it is to a program.
So I got this note and it is something everyone who is a Strength and Conditioning Coach should strive to obtain...
"On the eve of your birthday, I thought I’d pen Happy Birthday to the best coach ever! Kelley and I had made a pact to stay with you till one of us (three) died - because we knew we’d never find anyone else like you. Through your encouraging/ inspiring/ yelling-in-our-face, you nudged us to do a bit better every day than the previous day. You don’t know (or you did) how many days I’d walk in, read the board and say to myself “I’m not capable of doing #3 on the board. I bet Harry will modify it for me”. You wouldn't just NOT modify anything but look at me with a straight impassive face and guide me to do what’s on the board. Those were the days I walked out feeling I was on top of the world - that I was capable of handling anything else that came my way. Looking back at my life, through all the ups and downs, no one else gave me that kind of confidence. You not only gave me that but also a safe place where I found amazing people that you put together. For a couch potato like me, you created an environment where I looked forward to being. My mornings were the best when I started them off at your gym. My physical and mental pain was less than the days I came to your gym. Above all, I found a family in you, April, Hunter, and Abbie. Happy birthday, dear Harry! Much love and many hugs to you on your special day!"
Enjoy!
