This cool picture was done by the incredibly talented Dustin George.  Dustin on more than one occasion has taken a simple photo and turn it into "Artwork".

When he sends me these things, I just look at them in AWE and think how incredibly blessed I am to be surrounded by great talents that I call "friend".

3 RM Floor Press vs. 3/4 way up isometric contraction:

We floor pressed today looking to improve on the 5 RM numbers from last week.  Only today, I stuck another set of "spotting" bars in the 3x3 collegiate rack so that when we neared lockout, there was a pause against the bars for a loaded isometric hold.

At the lighter weight, we actually could lift the rack off the floor which was quite satisfying but hard.  Moving up through the third plate, we then held for two more sets of THREE reps.

Cable Lateral Raise: 3x30x20 lbs.  BURNER

Shrugs: 4x12x535

Incline DB Chest Press:

1x27x60

1x23x70

1x18x80

 

Overhead Military Press:

5x5x125

 

Push ups: 250 reps in as few sets as possible.  I did mine in FOUR sets
