I am all about my rule #67 which states, "No Complaining". When I bring it up to people who are complaining, they will stand in front of me and tell me that their rhetoric is NOT a complaint when in fact...IT IS!

For me to live by my codes I need to exhibit the behaviors that I am trying to impress upon everyone. Therefore, I need to "nut up" even when I don't feel like it myself.

Background:

I did something the other day to fuck up my sciatic nerve something BIG TIME.

I also popped a hamstring the other day doing some other stupid thing that I knew better (well, not really).

I haven't had a decent night's sleep in a few days to go on top of it.

I sit in my house, in the dark, in pain, and seriously want to anesthetize it all and watch cartoons.

Then the war begins. Do I train, or do I rest? The war rages until I get up off the floor, gear up and head to the gym.

What's the best thing to do when you don't feel like it? TRAIN!

What's the best thing to train when you are having physical issues? Squat and Deadlift

So I start warming up with accessory work to feel how it is going to go.

Four sets of GHRs are very cautious and make sure everything is aligned and strict. The tempo is on point.

Single Leg Reverse Hyper locked in!

Doing proper mobility to the back and hip as I progress through the weight increases for each of the main exercises

Then the Dynamic Sets begin. 10 sets of TWO reps, squatting and 10 sets of ONE rep deadlifting.

After I finished all of the aches and pain were gone. I'm not sure if I put things back into alignment or if it might be the endorphins that flow post-training.

Either way, "Being Active" won this battle (for now).

When the nerve starts to bark again later I'll hang upside down and stretch it again.

Mobility and Flexibility are seriously NOT overrated.

Take care of the things you hate because you suck at them until you don't suck at them and you won't hate them any longer.
