This was a tough week. I had taken two days off from going to the gym with what I thought was a cold and then allergies kicked in with a spring that went from zero to 120 mph in a day.

I then added my sprint running three times per week which proved to be in that category of "too much; too soon", so my hips and hamstrings were tender.

THEN, because I am better at coaching than I am coaching myself, I tore up the posterior chain and cramped my Pork Chords (hamstrings) with volume and a bit of dehydration, leaving me a very tender pair.

When today arrived, I went into the gym not expecting much from this max effort. But as I diligently addressed my issues, I felt better and better(er) and worried less and less about what injury MIGHT be incurred.

As the Good Mornings progressed I became more confident since I was lifting out of the straps that were set quite low. I didn't set a number in my head that I had to get to. I didn't need to PR this gym lift. What ended up happening was that I got up to a respectable weight and didn't breakdown!

I call that a WIN in my training log for today.

There are days when you expect a lot and you GET A LOT!

There are days when you expect a lot and get stapled long before you thought you would.

Then there are THOSE days when you don't expect much and you get surprised by how bad ass you are for that day!

Haha, maybe go play the lottery?

Today was that day. Today was a GOOT day. (yeah, I spelled that right for the needed purpose)
