I have been around some of the strongest people in the world. A five-hundred-pound bench is quite common amongst many of my peers. Heck, I have seen 1000 lbs go up on a multi-ply bench press and it is quite impressive.

Today we were benching and I was still getting a charge out of some of the people that I train as they were hitting larger and larger numbers for THEMSELVES.

Yes, it's cool to see large amounts of weight being moved, but the real "sizzle"??? That comes from the happiness in the face of those that have toiled and sacrificed to get it. THAT is the same face and smile that is displayed at someone who is 78 years old and had two shoulders operated on and cranks out a four rep 150-pound set.

It's the same display as a kid who weighs 130 lbs four repping the weight of 170 lbs or the "Mom" who throw up her first plate and change for the four reps.

Yes, folks...today was a good day!
