When I was in college, a hundred years ago, I went "downtown" one Saturday night to a place of libation and mockery. While there with my friends, I decided to give a new game a try. It was an arcade game in the corner of the bar that went by the name, "Defenders". Dropping quarters into the machine about at the same pace I was dropping back beers, I became frustrated with my play and "dropped the hammer" or the side of my fist on top of the glass casing which promptly shattered!

The loud noise of glass being destroyed and the cut that would require stitches stopped all the action that was taking place behind me that was common in any college bar.

I could feel hundreds of eyes burning a glare into the back of my head and the place went dead quiet.

I had to think of something to say and I had to think of it quickly.

I turned around to address the crowd of friends while grabbing my slit wrist which was gushing blood, and said, "This lets you know a few things...One, if you want to drink beer, go to a bar. Number two, If you want to play games, go to a bowling alley. Lastly, if you want to look at girls, go to the beach. BUT NEVER combine any of the above and do them at the same time!"

I didn't know how ahead of my time I really was back then with that comment.

I look at my day and what objectives I need to address, it sometimes seems overwhelming. However, once I begin and break everything down to doing "First things FIRST", it then slips into a well-timed rhythm and each objective gets accomplished in order and with relative ease.

If I try to do more than one thing at a time, it all falls apart and I get NOTHING done.

My observations are only addressed to ME. I notice when friends go about and do the same thing, the same results become apparent.

I know there are people who say they can "multi-task" and it's easy. But, when they too break things down to doing first things first, they also become more productive.

From a training session to the job that pays the mortgage to projects around the house, prioritize and do ONE thing with intense focus until it's complete and then onto the next, those objectives will fall into place more rapidly and with less confusion and then the GOAL will be reached much sooner.

Today's Training: Like yesterday's. Once you start, keep moving at a brisk pace with minimal rest. You can combine exercises as in super setting them. But once you start, DON'T SLOW DOWN!

Average time for this workout was 47 minutes

36 minutes was the quickest session today, banged out by "Jackie O." (A spitfire of a woman) AND she did an extra 100 sit-ups!!! Intensity for the immensity. (The reason she looks as good as she does!!!)
