I'm kidding, well maybe not. I've been on a rampage to toughen myself and those around me that will listen to get "Mentally Tough".

I stopped seeing adversity as a thing that has to be awful and turned it into a "learning" experience. Change your thoughts you change your habits. Start viewing heavyweight as lightweight, it becomes lightweight. See the obstacle and view it as a chance to test your metal.

Even down to my daily OUTDOOR shower. I will take one before I begin my day's activity regardless of the ambient air temperature and precipitation. Although, yes, right now in Northern California the temperature is down to 55 degrees and not too bad, I plan on continuing this practice right through the winter when it CAN get as low as the mid to low 30's. It takes some mental prep to hit that cold shower (it's only hooked up to the garden hose pipe so there is no hot water).

So now I view EVERY incident as a chance to "TEST MYSELF".

So why does it cause "Brain Damage"?

Well, for certain, I know that you don't push a strained muscle. What do I do? I'm running those 100-yard sprints and yoke my adductor longus, magnus and brevis, gracilis, obturator externus, and pectineus. on the 10th one. Does it hurt? Yep. Should I stop? Yep. Did I? Nope! Brain damage!!!

I'll have this mental tough thing dialed in soon enough. I know better. But I still laughed, learned, and got tougher for it.

If you're tired, do it tired. If you aren't too bad, then do it hurt.

Today's Training:

*Cycle: Commute; 30 mins. I went the long way

Lat Pulldown: 4x6x HEAVY enough weight that the sixth rep feels like it will rip your upper torso from your lower.

Competition Negative Pull up: 3x1 Vs. someone who is of equal pull-up strength (or the clock) When the "Go" is given, just last longer than the other guy OR...a full 40 second decent to straight arm
