This past weekend was the RPS Jersey Rumble in Newark NJ.

This was a working weekend for me as I had 5 clients lifting during 3 of the sessions. It was absolutely exhausting and I'm still hurting, but it was worth it to see so many guys bus their asses and make prs. Couldn't be prouder of everyone! Here's a quick recap:

Saturday afternoon I was there with George, who was competing at a light 198. I've known George a very long time as we've both been in the fitness business in North Jersey for well over a decade, and he recently came to me to get him ready for his first meet. Along with George was his buddy John, who I didn't know, but was happy to handle for the day as well.

Both guys did great, with George going 9/9. and Hohn going 8/9 (I believe he lost one lift for jumping a command). Both guys had a blast at what will hopefully be the first of many competitions.

Sunday morning I handled two guys that train with my powerlifting team in NYC. Josh at 308 was doing his second meet with me, and Harris at 242 was also in his second meet (but first under my coaching).

Both of them did really in the squat, going 3/3.

Harris also killed it in the bench, going 3/3, while Josh had some trouble due to a nagging injury, but got his opener to stay in the meet.

Harris went 2/3 in the dead, while Josh went 3/3.

Another great session done!

Finally, my client Jarred competed in his second multi-ply meet during the Sunday PM session.

Jarred started strong with a 35b pr in the squat.

He moved on to hit prs in both the bench and dead, ending the day with a big PR total on an 8/9 day.

I'm extremely proud of everyone, and grateful they've let me play this small part in their development as lifters. As always, watching my guys crush it has made me even hungrier to get back on to the platform myself.

As always, special thank you to Gene and Ame Rychlak for running a world class event and giving my people the best possible environment to perform in!
