A person with experience is never at the mercy of anyone with a theory.  No truer statement than that.

I am now on the planet for 6 decades and one year as of today.  I have seen a LOT of change in that short time.  Some of it great, and some of it quite embarrassing to say the least.

I believe in science based research, but it needs to be applied for my liking.  If it works?  GREAT!  If it doesn't work, I wish the scientist good luck and get back to the drawing board, but certainly DON'T defend it!

I am seeing so much anger from our population regarding EVERYTHING!

I think its great that folks have an opinion but I wish they would base it on research and applications rather than hear say and emotion.

Just because I said so, doesn't necessarily make it so.  However the track record of Pro's that I have in the system, the amount of Collegiate and Scholastic athletes that continue to perform at a high level and RETURN to me in their off seasons, and the amount of successful people that contribute to our society, I think I'm on to something from what I learned in school, refined it through trial and error, and thrown out what doesn't work and keeping what does has given me a bit of credibility.

I encourage my own son to formulate his own ideas and not to base his opinion of my rhetoric at the dining table.

However when he has a different opinion than mine, I ask him where he got his information?  What was the research of the TRUTH of that information?  And, how does it apply to HIM long term?

No kidding, these are the type of dialogs I have with him, along with what the NHL scores, how was school, what the cute girl in his English class was asking him (I get HIS text messages on the wrist watch he doesn't use that I do now)?

I think people have lost the art of "Critical Thinking and Practical Application" and base most of their reactions to more "Emotional Thinking and Pack Mentality".

We need to do more research of ALL the information we are getting, and apply it to see if it holds true for OURSELVES, before spouting off about the next great thing or wronged we have been done.

Ask why, when, where...as in, "why am I saying this now?  THIS!  Right here!!!  Why did I just ask why?  What is it to YOU?  How does it apply to YOU?

Just my opinion!
