OBB APF Southern States Oct 2018 Results

Thank you to everyone involved in making yet another one of our meets, the APF Southern States, a success this past weekend. Congratulations to all of the lifters as well. Here are some of the OBB crew we were able to get a pic with: Bianca Wert, Melanie Flesh, Alex Burgazzoli, Natalia Grossa, Andrew Doeg, Chris Folkes, Eric Crosby, Anthony Liardo, Brandon Gully, Buddy Tolley, Amanda Thompson, Natalie Falbo, Trinity, Sean McCormick, me, Richard Perdomo, Jo Jordan, Meana Albersworth, Seth Albersworth. Missing are Carley Camarotti, Keegan Laud, Isaac Sullender, Jeff Faber, Jesse McGrath, and I’m sure some others too.

We had numerous first time competitors including a few from the Orlando Barbell team.

Orlando Barbell’s Natalie Falbo followed The M2 Method and had a successful first meet going 7 for 9 and finishing with a 610 total to win the Junior 148s. Here’s video of her 291.5 deadlift.

Orlando Barbell’s Eric Crosby also competed in his first meet going 523-292-584 for a 1399 total to take first place in the competitive 198 Junior class.

Orlando Barbell’s Richard Perdomo competed in his first meet going 475-308-525 for a 1308 total and first place in the 308s.

Orlando Barbell’s Amanda Thompson went 292-121-303 for a 716 total, 1st place in the open 148s and Best Female Lifter!

Orlando Barbell’s Andrew Doeg won the 220 class and Best Male Raw Lifter going 501-402-611.

Orlando Barbell's Alex Burgazzoli was nursing a shoulder injury but did better than expected.

Thank you to Jeff Sevor and Al Reiss for their support in keeping these meets going.

I’ll add the full results to this soon. We had a smaller turnout than usual, but ran an efficient meet and were done by 3. I hope to see you all in February for our APF Florida State!
