Twin five year old boys were subjects in a field experiment. One was placed in a room with all the latest devises and toys. T.V. and electronics. They also provided the newest and fastest computer. They gave him musical instruments and art and craft materials.
The other brother was put into a room filled with a large pile of horse shit.
Brother #1 began to play with each "gift" in the room only to tire of them in about 5 minutes each. Not very long after the boy sat quietly in the corner of the room bored out of his mind.
Brother #2 was observed diving into the horse shit. He flipped through it, threw it against the wall, and amused himself digging and diving for HOURS!
Later that day they brought the boys together and asked each of their experience.
Brother #1 said "I had fun for a while but got tired of each of the games and toys because it got boring"
Brother #2 said, "Well...I figured with all that horse poop in the room, there HAD to be a pony somewhere!!!"
"A person is happy as they make their mind up to be".
