Over the past few weeks I've noticed that I am combatting fatigue more so than in my past experiences.
I have always been one to assume the least and expect the most. In other words, when my car isn't running correctly, before pulling the engine apart, I'll check to see if there is enough gas in the tank. Likewise, when it comes to me I will check the easiest and most obvious before thinking I have to head to the hospital.
Since I have always gotten up early that didn't seem to be an issue.
I've added a few late nights to bed with the "drylands" coaching I'm doing with my son's hockey team. But that doesn't seem to be an issue since I nap the next day.
So then I looked at Vitamin B12 deficiencies and PRESTO! I have had all the symptoms of low B12.
Vitamin B12 is a nutrient that helps keep the body's nerve and blood cells healthy and helps make DNA, the genetic material in all cells. Vitamin B12 also helps prevent a type of anemia called megaloblastic anemia that makes people tired and weak.
I've put myself on a small daily dosage of oral supplementation and it seems to have done the trick. I'm not a coffee drinker nor ingest too much caffeine ever, and "pre workouts" are a taboo thing in my house since Stevie P put out the YouTube video on such things.
But this Vitamin B12...yea, let's see how this rolls out.
