Last Sunday was a good squat session, followed by a monkey wrench thrown into the rest of the week.
Sunday's exercise was a cambered squat bar free squat.
Surprisingly, I worked up to 720 in my briefs and suit bottom. This was most certainly a significant pr on this bar, and is really a pretty good straps-down squat regardless of the bar for me. Considering how little training I've been doing in general, I had not expected to go this heavy.
Unfortunately, despite the great start to the week, the rest of it kind of sucked. I picked up strep throat from my son and was out of commission the rest of the week. That's just how it goes sometimes.
Feeling better now, looking forward to some squatting tomorrow.
