As we were escalating the weight today I put together a "pecking" order in my training crew at the onset.

The least experienced is always the one that starts and the last guy is the one I think will lift the most.

As we go up each round we start losing a person or two making the rest interval shorter and shorter.

We got to the weight that makes holding the "Hex" bar difficult to balance making it easier and easier to bail out and call it a day.

With a significant amount of weight in my hand, I began to pull only to be challenged by the flipage of the bar. First hitting me in the ass, then scraping my weight belt buckle because of overcompensation.

Yea, I was ready to leave the last two lifters to have at it.

The second to last guy was getting ready after I had missed when I suddenly told him to "watch out, I'm not done."

Re-tighten the belt, re-chalked the hands, thought about a little nose tork (but passed), re-aligned my starting position (both hands and feet), then beat back the inner voice that told me that I was done for the day, and hoisted the weight.

Sometimes you have to say, "Fuck it" and then just do it! Today was that day!!!

Since I pulled a lot, EVERYONE HAD to pull a lot! It's just the way it is.

Niche (the philosopher not the linebacker) said, "That which doesn't kill you will only make you stronger".

Live by it.
