Monster Garage Gym/Maroscher Coaching Log: By MGG owner, 2-Time WPC World Powerlifting Champion, Eric Maroscher. (Log number XXXIII).
This coaching log features Monsterettes Kristin Johnson and Crystal Tate of the Monster Garage Gym. The purpose of this log is to give a glimpse into one of their heavy squat sessions.

Kristin is currently the #3 ranked women’s RAW bencher in the 181LB class open division and last week won her 2nd NAS Illinois State Strongman Championship. Crystal is currently the #2 squatter, #9 bencher, #2 deadlifter with the #2 ranked total in the RAW w/wraps 198LB women’s open division.

On this day, Kristin takes a 505LB squat (suit/wraps) and Crystal takes a 490LB squat (RAW w/wraps).

In this coaching log we take you through Kristin’s and Crystal’s warm-up squats, a number of working sets and their top sets. Crystal trains RAW with wraps as to prep for her UPA meeting forth coming and Kristin takes a Metal squat suit for a ride, which is new for her as she too is a RAW squatter. *Being fully strong RAW allows you to train WITH the equipment, not FIGHT AGAINST the equipment. Equipment will expose and truly magnify a lifter’s weakness, so being a fully powerful RAW lifter first as is the case with Kristin, makes all the difference in the world when making the conversion to equipped lifting.

Following the squat, the ladies pulled then did supplemental work. All of which is detailed in their logs below for your perusal.

*The training/competition footage in this video (filmed in HD, let load to 720 or 1080 for HD quality). Feel free to go back to earlier coaching logs featuring Kristin and Crystal.

We hope you find this video and log as a whole of use to you in your training. Please let us know by your comment(s) if these logs are useful to you and what we can do to make the better. If you like them, we would appreciate it if you would share them.

As always, thank you for following the Monster Garage Gym/Maroscher coaching log. We hope you found this log and our other prior logs of benefit to you. Ever Onward, Eric Maroscher.
