Most of you that follow me on Instagram (@underthebar) already know that I answer all my DMs (excluding spam & dickheads)

It’s getting hard for me to answer all DMs everyday but will get to them all. I have a daily time limit I put on IG and have to stick to it as I do have my own work, training and life to attend to.

If I don’t answer, resend as sometimes they get lost. For example, I get a lot of form checks. These take more time than a QA so I flag them. Longer answer questions I’ll flag as well. This is so I can answer a big block of questions then come back to them later. Within this process, I know I lose some.

Don’t be afraid to ask. If I don’t understand your question, I will ask you to send it in another way so I can understand. If I don’t know the answer, I will tell you I don’t know. If I do this, don’t keep asking me the same thing like I’m going to answer. If I don’t know, I’m not going to just make something up to appease you. I’ll tell you to stop before answering some BS answer.

My answers will be brief and to the point. If you want to know why, please send a follow up question. My answers may be links to articles and videos. If I do this - read and watch the content before asking follow up questions. In all cases, the answer is in the link I sent.

If it’s a form check of a client of yours, I will do it - as long as they send me the video and question. This way any follow up is direct with them.

Please understand I work for and represent @elitefts, and while I love to help out, give back and pass on and would still do so if I wasn’t in this industry, I am. This in part is a free service offered by the company. A service I feel @eliteftsand team elitefts as a whole does better than anyone. If I know the person asking is a supporter of elitefts, I prioritize them but, again, will still answer everyone when I can.

I have been trying to do one AMA each week. These have been on Fridays ‪around 5:30-6:00pm EST‬ and then get archived in my blog at Elitefts (link is in my bio)

Live - Learn - Pass on

Even after two decades, I’m still humbled that people consider me someone worthy to learn from.

Thank You

"This is a monumental time commitment and is truly appreciated. Thanks for everything you do. Live, Learn and Pass on. People like you are keeping this culture alive. Hopefully some of these kids coming up today remember and do the same."

My Reply

Thank you but it’s something I’ve done (answering questions) since 98 when the first online QA went up. I have over a half million archived on the Elitefts QA. These don’t include the daily emails I still answer today. Every week for 21 years now it’s easily averaged over 25-30 hours. Instagram has simply taken the place of the Elitefts QA that we pulled down middle of last year. No need to praise my standard operating procedures. What has been so great to see is how many team elitefts athletes, coaches and columnists who also answer all their DMs and run weekly AMAs here on IG. They are answering more questions than any other time in the companies history.

When I think back on all the years and questions I have answered it's always been 20-30 hours per week. I have over 500,000 archieved on our old QA. I spend at least one to two hours per day answering training questions via email and have been since 98 (over 15,330 hours). This added to the old QA time and now the DM time on Instagram and its gets up close to 25,000 total hours - or - well over 1 millions answers with more than half being on a personal DM or email level.

This is why there has been a drop in the number of articles I have been anle to put out over the past year and a half. Three to four hours per day are spent helping lifters over come sticking points.

Getting back to the QA's. Team elitefts has been doing the same for the past 21 years with well over 1 million QA's archived online and if you are on Instagram you will see many team members that also answer all DM's and do weekly AMA's ( Ask Me Anything)

Some of these team elitefts members include.

Nate Harvey
Julia Anto
Christian Anto
JP Carroll
Joe Sullivan
Casey Williams
Swede Burns
Yessica Martinez
Brandon Smitley
Tyrel Detweiler
Alycia Isreal

Just guessing, if you added all the stories QA Answers with all of us there would be over 600 QA's per week! Follow them all and take advantage of all the free infomration they provide as one answer can change everything.

This and all the articles, videos and other content you see online is what Living, Learning and Passing on is all about. I see many people today "talking" about giving back and passing on only to find it leads to sales copy to sell their services.  THAT is called content marketing not passing on.

Our content is part of the service we provide (and have since 98) not the marketing we do.  If you want to know who to learn look at those who represent team elitefts. We vet them out so you don't have to - and they are all doing things for the right reasons... becuase we care.
