While taking account of all the people that come through my door at Combat Sports, I was asked if I had any favorite participant.
There are always the ones that stand out.
The exceptional athlete, The non Complainers, The Non Payer, The Program Jumper, The Funny, The Always Depressed.
As people, we will favor some over others in any life situation. We're normal.
But I am reminded when I find myself shying away from "the less desirable" of this parable of a patron going into a Butcher Shop asking the Butcher for meat:
“Give me the best piece of meat you have.”
“Everything in my shop is the best,” replied the butcher. “You can not find any piece of meat that is not the best.”
At these words, I am enlightened.
