Guilt and Worry are two useless emotions. So don't do either!
I have a few new people that have began their journey into the Strength and Conditioning. They are quality folks that IF they make the team, they'll soon be stronger, more conditioned and definitely better looking than their peers.
What did I say? "IF they make the team"? Why YES! In the business of today's gym goers, a lot of people go around "trying out" gyms, clubs, trainers, coaches. Well...in simple terms, FUCK THAT!
As a veteran of teaching gym, (that's what I do, so let's call it what it is) I am checking YOU out. I don't NEED to whore out my time like I once did, working from 0500 until the cows came home. No! I know how to make people stronger, more fit, better looking, and better sense of humor. I've been doing it for FOUR decades and a couple years. What does the new person bring to the table and why should I invest my time with them is the real question?
I train groups that I like to hang around with. They are hard chargers that have personalities and aren't so egocentric that they are royal pains in the ass. I like my, no! I LOVE my people and those that are with me are hand picked and getting the best I can deliver.
Sure, you can come in to GET checked out, but don't assume you're going to make MY team! It doesn't work that way, kids.
