There once were two wolves that were hunting for food. One was an older dog and the other was much younger. The older wolf was teaching the young one the virtues of hunting and life as he knew it.
The young wolf was quite hungry and growing impatient when the two of them spotted a rabbit eating vegetation from the forest floor.
The old wolf told the younger one to "go get that rabbit!"
The young one briefly stalked the rabbit slowly approaching it. Once the young wolf got inside what he thought to be a "sure kill" he POUNCED! Missing the rabbit, the rabbit TOOK OFF and the wolf gave chase.
The rabbit went over logs and under brush. The wolf followed. The rabbit veered north then south to which the wolf continued his chase. The rabbit went around a tree over rocks and then scooted up an embankment. The young wolf was growing tired and the gap was increasing. The rabbit turned again and then fled away untouched.
The young wolf found his way back to the older one, panting out of breath and exhausted.
The old wolf asked the younger one what happened? The young wolf began to explain and used excuses when the old wolf shushed him up..."shhhhhh"....
The old wolf then explained..."You see??? You were chasing after a meal, and that rabbit was running for his life! When you put into an endeavor your whole heart as if your life depends on it, only then will you succeed."
Moral of the story my friends, do the work as if your life depends on it.
