As we enter the third week of training at MGG 4.0, we have successfully filled the 5K sqft of warehouse with 85,000LBS of weights and equipment from MGG 3.0, and now we are continuing to MONSTERIZE the gym as well as add an anti-clip carpet under and bolting down much of our equipment. As you watch the training footage, pls excuse our mess and temporarily barren walls as we continue to put together MGG 4.0!!!!!

This video log features two Monsters, Steve and Mike. Steve Brock is a WPC World Powerlifting Champion and 1,000LB squatter and mid-700’s shirted bencher. Mike Strom is a 2-Time APF Senior Nationals Champion and is on the Top 50 ALL TIME American Bencher list in both the 181LB and 198LB division.

The point of this log is to capture on video for you, especially the intermediate and newer lifter, some training footage on how two world caliber shirted benchers train, to not only build their RAW strength for their shirted bench, but illustrate that there is volume involved in powerlifting along with the main heavy movements. Within the training footage you will see both powerlifters training at a very high level on the main movement, which is benching with double EliteFTS monster mini-bands, but finishing off with their bench training with auxiliary movements and complementing those movements with a large number of reps. Our take away is that a quality powerlifter does not just train max effort (although there is a huge place for that obviously), but trains with a mixture of maximum effort, reps, volume, and a wide variety of movements within their arsenal of said movements.
