I grew up in Upstate NY.  I've had seen inclement weather.  As a matter of fact, part of my motivation to move West was the fact that there was not enough sunshine and cold, wet weather was a good description for how it was while growing up.

I was teaching Physical Education at one point of my career in a school for kids that were placed there because the Department of Social Services felt the kid was going to kill his family, or the family was going to kill the kid.  It was a "residence" school, which was a nicer name for Juvenile Detention.

TOUGH kids.  But deep down, good kids.

It was a typical November upstate NY day.  Swirling dark clouds, cold, rainy.  I tell the kids we are going out onto the fields to play football.

They looked at me as if...(they thought I was completely nuts.  That and my reputation kept things in order.) to say, "NO WAY"

Moans and groans came from the kids, and the aides.  NO ONE wanted to go out (especially me) but I had to keep the hard ass attitude up.

"Coach, man...we ain't really goin' out in dis chit, right?"  to which I replied..."If you can safely take a shower without melting, you can go outside and play in the rain".

They had coats and gloves and proper cold weather gear.  I went out in my gym shorts and before Bill Belichek made it cool, a RATTY sweatshirt with the sleeves cut off and my Oakland Raider ball cap.

Standing out in the cold rain as if it were a 87 degree day with abundant sunshine, I didn't flinch.  Rain dripped from my nose as I ref'd the game and cajoled with the staff and students who were MISERABLE!

After an hour and a half, I took them into the warm school and they dried off, only to find that the warmth and comfort of being dry put most of them into dreamland.

Moral of this story...you can do more things outside than you thought yourself capable of, AND  (this is big) if it is so freak'n bad out, you can do stuff INSIDE too.

No reason to not show up!

Now that I live in California, I have many more opportunities to play and do stuff outside.  Hell, it's raining here today, yet it is still 60+ degrees.

We get a wet season from the end of October through a bit into February.  We know it comes (except for El Nino which is Spanish for "THE Nino"...)  Doesn't matter, if it's wet and nasty outside, most plan for indoor activity.  If THAT doesn't happen, then...it's just piss poor planning.

Get work done, Son!

Suspended Giant Cambered Bar Anderson Squats:

These were so low, it HURT to get under it.

The low handles should be in alignment as IF you were going to do some "pulls" from the floor.
