First post in a long time, sorry about my absence.

My time has not been my own lately, and I've had some big distractions in my personal life over the last few months. It wasn't something I really wanted to write about, but I also found it difficult to post without eluding to it somehow.

But things are settled down now and HOLY CRAP I'M 16 WEEKS OUT FROM THE ARNOLD!

This REALLY snuck up on me and I'm miles away from anything resembling "in shape".

No, I haven't put on any fat and my weight is fine, but I'm in abysmal shape conditioning-wise.

At least I can still whore out a bench shirt.

Monday was my first serious training day in a long time, and it was a shirt day. I don't have many shirts that fit me at 181, and although I did well in my old Ace, I don't like having at least one more option in case of a blowout or something.

Fortunately training partner Steve came through with an old Jack that I had actually given him years ago when I outgrew it. Now that he's outgrown it, and I'm tiny, its mine again.

I wasn't really expecting much because I haven't even trained much, let alone shirt benched in the last couple of months, but somehow I managed to pull off a clean 600 in it.

I didn't expect to do the well this far out from a meet, especially considering my lack of any serious preparation, but I'll certainly take it.

The next few weeks will be interesting. This meet really snuck up on me so getting back into the swing of it without rushing, all while trying to manage my bodyweight will be an interesting challenge.

Looking forward to this one.
