Sorry for letting the blog lag again.

My mom was in the hospital this week, which kind of threw me off in terms of my posting. She had a bout of pneumonia, which wasn't a big deal in and of itself, but she has late stage dementia, which makes events like hospital stays especially problematic. Basically, she doesn't have any idea what's going on, and she can be difficult for the staff to  deal with.

It's difficult to watch someone you care about going through something like dementia, and breaks from routine like this always exaserbate both her condition and my ability to cope with it, and it usually takes me a few days to get back on track.

Anyway, back to training

The last two movements were a max effort squat and a floor press.

The squat on Sunday was performed to a box with the cambered squat bar and 5 sets of chain. I managed to work up to 405 raw for a single, which considering where I am in my training (weak and underweight) was ok (for now).

Did the normal mix of reverse hypers, back extensions and abs to finish.

Monday's bench session was a floor press with 3 sets of chain. I worked up to a single with 285, which was again, pretty good considering I'm nowhere near in meet shape.

moved on to 3 sets of 5 at 205 on the overhead press, 5 sets on the chest supported row, triceps pushdowns and some biceps curse just because.

This was a rough week emotionally, but things are getting back on track.
