I'm now a habitual really early riser even though some of our hockey practices get me home quite late.  I just can't sleep beyond 0400.

I've been working at adjusting my work, workouts, restoration, eating and sleeping for the past four weeks and I keep coming back to the realization, "Do what you can when you can do it"  Adjust, Adapt, and Overcome (fuck compromise)

I've also been in a confrontation with what I know is the initial onset of Plantar Fasciitis, basic sciatica, dehydration, the aggravation of what hospitalized me back last December, and Cranky as fuckoldman syndrome.  All of which I am addressing as we go.  It's life after all and I'm not running from any enemy in some shit hole third world nation.  I'm at least in the comforts of my own surroundings which if you don't know...AIN'T TOO BAD!

What am I getting at?

Discipline beats motivation every time.

Thoughts create and words can influence or destroy those thoughts.  In other words, by thinking you can...you will.  If you procrastinate then you will talk yourself out of being disciplined and then waste the opportunity of dialing in your awesome.

Take a few small ACTION steps in your disciplinary journal right now so those motivational words you hear bring about more action steps.

Today's Training:

A disciplined four miles that was not highly motivated, but completed!

Hell Yea!
