We  do the best we can with the knowledge we have in that moment.  It's easier to look back at an event and see that there were better choices because we already learned from our experiences.  Hindsight or "Monday Morning quarterbacking" happens AFTER the lesson, so we can't condemn ourselves for NOT knowing the lesson before we learn it!!!
