Over Christmas, I was thinking about how how there is always someone that is posting about how they "killed their cardio" or "smashed their squats"  or, "whooped their whatever", and I would think, "why?"

Why do they report their workout on a day or night that most of us are spending with our family or friends or both?

What's wrong with these people that they don't have anything more than the gym?  LOSERS!

Well, wait one minute.  As I contemplated this further, maybe...just maybe they DON'T have anyone or anything better to do.  Maybe...just maybe THIS gym thing is the one thing holding them together.

The Holidays are a time for joy and happiness but they are also a time for great depression.  Lost souls perhaps?  I am not certain, but I too have trained on a peaceful evening when all was quiet as a mouse.  There wasn't anything I wanted to do more.  I had nothing more.  I was happy in the gym (By myself) because the weights never depressed me.  A long run never lets me down.  i didn't have to buy my bike ride a present I couldn't afford.

So, that guy or gal that spent in the gym???  I will invite you to my house when you are finished if you want to celebrate some cheer.  (and you don't need to get me a present)

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year folks.
