I have to be quick this week so I figured I’d share a new toy we got the other day.
As you all know, I love Bandbell bars for many reasons.
You can see some of them here.

You know what I hate about them?
Loading them. It’s a chore.

And if you use kettlebells, your weight jumps are not optimal.
You also know I love EliteFTS, and as usual they came to the rescue.
Ronda sent me a package the other day (if you don’t know Ronda, she is the brains behind the operation here, and one of the best human beings ever).
This package contained a set of ANCHOR LOADER WITH STRAP-N-HOOKS.

This Made in the USA brilliantly designed piece of steel allow you to load a Bandbell bar easily, and with plates so you can make much more intelligent jumps than using kettle bells.
Simply hang them from the bar with bands, or if you want less oscillation, use the straps, and add plates as desired.
You can also use any bar you like, not just a Bandbell bar.
I used this new toy yesterday and I am hooked. (Dad joke)
I did a shiton of different bench variations with it and it performed flawlessly.
One new thing I did yesterday was to use the Rhinoflex bar, which is a Bandbell bar that you can load regular plates on for, close grip benches with the Anchor Loader with bands added to it.
I pretty much always use the Rhinoflex bar as a regular barbell, never with suspended kettle bells as you would with the traditional Bandbell bar. That changed yesterday.
I wish I got video of this. If you’ve ever used a Bandbell bar you know that you have to add a lot of weight once you get used to it and the oscillation is INSANE with 4 or 5 kettle bells hanging off of it.

While this is awesome, I was looking to see if it had a different “feel”, and it did.

I loaded the bar to 135 and did a bunch of reps starting with 30 pounds on each loader.
I added weight to the Loaders each time instead of weight on the bar.
What I found is that I got a big ole pump, felt like I was lifting weights, and Bandbell effect (oscillation) from the Loaders. It felt very different than the usual way, and I really liked it.
I also decided to throw in some JM Presses, and got some video so you can see the set up.
I also loved these.
Completely different feel than a regular JM Press and as we all know, variety is good!
