I guess you could say this image is pic-bait, but if it gets you to read this it’s worth it. Yes, I have and can get lean, I just don’t like it so much.

Anyhow...

I’m really disconnected from many things that are going on in the world today. I’m disconnected from many things that are going on within the industry I work in. I’m disconnected from what’s going on within my own city and neighborhood. The things I do find out about are usually told to me by others. Many years ago, I just got tired of all the BS, so I gave up on it.

It’s too easy for all of us to get sucked down BS rabbit holes that have zero to do with our lives. Why do we do this? We know it’s a time suck. Unnecessary drama, stress, and false narrative that helps nobody, including ourselves. Yet, it happens every day, hour, and minute.

What I finally figured out is that all of the clutter was disconnecting me from my family, business, training, and purpose. It’s far more important to me to be ignorant of all the BS than disconnected from the things that matter most.

So, when you ask me things like did you see...? Did you hear...? Did you know...? or anything else that has to do with anything outside of my scope or purpose, I don’t have a clue. Ask me about the news and I’m completely clueless.

I'd rather not know what AMA and F/M/K is during a QA and have a dozen people explain it to me, then to not know if my kids' homework is done, what our numbers are at work, and how my wife is really doing and feeling.

All of the crap is not worth the trade off.

I think if you really think about what’s the most important to you, you will find a lot of BS in your life you can get rid of that you will see is working more against you than for you.
