If I had to choose the most aesthetically pleasing body, mine would not be it. It’s really hard in this day and age of social media to not compare yourself to other people or to want for a different body. Guess what, that’s not really a healthy attitude.
There are so many things to consider when it comes to the human form. We are all unique. In addition, there are other factors to consider such as genes, age, pharmacology, etc. So how then can you really compare yourself to anyone else?
What usually helps me are before and after pictures, like the one above. That’s when I compare myself from where I started to where I am now. When I do this, I think “Damn, I have come a long way!” Instead of thinking, “Damn, I really wish I looked more like...”
That’s not to say you can’t look to others for inspiration, motivation, and ideas. Instead of hoping to look like someone else, look to see what got them there. Pick apart their ideas on training, nutrition, conditioning, and the mindset that it took them to get there.
So the only body you should really be comparing yours to, is your own. Just focus on making that body better. Try using before and after pictures. They really help put things into perspective.
