I think I might have turned the corner on this whole sciatic issue.

After being away for the weekend, driving 5 hours straight, standing in a cold Ice Rink watching my son play in a tournament, and sleeping in an awful bed, then driving the distance back, I had some relentless back and leg issues.

I realized I needed to concentrate my efforts on getting the muscle to relax through stretching and decompression traction to stop the pain.

Here is the summary of what I did:

1. Seated Hamstring Curl- 4 sets of 25 reps with a medium band

2. GHR- 4 sets of 10 reps

3. Low Box Squat- 5 sets of 11 reps using the Mastodon Bar and 85 lbs of weight

5. High Pin Pull using an Axl bar- 10 sets of 5 reps with 95 lbs

6. One monster band around my hips and inverting myself where my shoulders remained on the floor and "twisting" for some mobility

7.  Suspended Knee raises for the lower ab

8. BOSU sit ups using the round side up and extending my back over the ball and contracting only to the parallel position.  (DO NOT flex the spine beyond straight)

So far, I feel the best I have in weeks.  I seriously considered bailing out of the Powerlifting Experience at EliteFTS in London, Ohio that I committed to on Saturday.  I am connecting flights in Dallas and had a nightmare thinking of the distance between that airports gates, that I could NOT make the connection.  I could barely walk.  But right NOW, I'm pretty optomistic.
