I wrote an article a while ago about the three levels of commitment,

1. I'll try

2. I'll do what ever it takes

3. DONE!

 

As you can ascertain "Done" is the only acceptable level of commitment for me.  The first two allow for an certain amount of excuse, but DONE means what it says.

If you AREN'T committed, just say "No", but  other than that Done is the only option.
