I always train much faster when I train with my wife (she doesn't ever get tired...), so we banged out this entire workout in about 45min.  Had a great pump...didn't go so heavy today, but it was a different kind of intensity.

Now for the story--

My sister tested for her black belt (way to go Kelley!) in Karate on Saturday (my niece was also doing her annual retest for her's) in the Detroit area.
I volunteered to be part of my sister's "pit crew" (give her water, help her get her sparring gear on, etc) and had to drive over there after training on Friday.

I took my eldest daughter with me and we arrived without issue on Friday night.
Saturday morning comes and we're leaving  the hotel around 7am to head to the event (it's a 12 hour test...), when my truck starts losing speed on the highway.
I have 233,000 miles on the original injectors and have been planning on getting new injectors this spring, so issues with them isn't exactly something I wasn't expecting....but the way it wasn't holding speed seemed like it was the lift pump more than anything (I'll find out soon enough I guess).

The shitty part is....we're pulled off on the side of the highway in Romulus Michigan--2 hours from my house to the west, and over an hour from any family or friends to the east.
On top of that...it was Saturday and all the local dealerships were closed (I hate taking it to a dealership, but being two hours from home and not knowing any of the local shops, I just wanted it somewhere where I knew it would get fixed).

I finally find a dealership that is open on Saturday (not doing any service--but the service dept at least had someone on staff to talk to).

So I talk to the service department and let them know that a random truck is going to get towed there, but I won't be with it to fill out any forms or anything because I have to get to this karate testing.

The next fun part is that none of the local car rental places are open on Saturday either...so I ended up having to go to Metro Detroit Airport to get a rental car.

In the end, it all worked out...I'm driving a tiny ass economy car for the week and my 9 year old daughter was surprisingly calm during the hour long process of sitting on the side of the highway in 7 degree weather.

But....I'm now in Kalamazoo....two hours away from where I'll have to return my rental car...while my truck is being repaired in an entirely different city two hours away, which will be a good 30 min taxi ride from the airport when I take the rental back.
