The other day I felt like hammered dog $hit. I do a lot for recovery so there was really nothing left to do. Do I train, or not train?

I always default to training. I feel like a failure if I don’t. Over the years I have learned that this is usually not the correct answer.

So instead of being “hardcore” yes, a very lame expression, I finally took that day off. The result, I felt amazing the next day.

I didn’t need a cold plunge, a sauna, massage, foam roll or whatever the hell else recovery hack, I just needed a break. I relaxed and got to bed early. Perfect!

When waking the next morning I felt fresh as a daisy. Sometimes, you just need a day off.
