Sunday at Apollon was a full gear squat day.
I've been experimenting with a full Jack suit, straps down under my Metal canvas. Obviously I'd need to cut the straps before trying to wear the Jack at a meet, but I didn't want to sacrifice a good suit before seeing if the new combo worked.
Long story short, it worked.
I worked up to 800 in full gear, which felt surprisingly light considering my current lack of bodyweight.
I didn't have much time for assistance, due to family commitments, but I supersetted (not sure if that's actually a word) some back extensions and pulldown abs.
Time to get out the shears.
Great question.
The suit is an old one that I've had for years but was always too small. Now that I've lost some weight, I can finally get into it, but it's still too small to wear as a suit with a brief underneath.
Since all my briefs are now too big, I figured it would be less wasteful to repurpose The suit than order a smaller brief.
Plus, the Jack suit is a little beefier than the brief, which I like, since my canvas is also a hair big.
