In my program the participants are more than a group of people that work out together.   Each person has been hand selected for a reason that adds value to the "Team".   Each member plays a valuable role with minimal crossover into another's.

We train together, sweat together, enjoy each other's company and enjoy each other's victories and are there to support each other when times get a little rough.

As the "Head Coach" my role varies.  Sometimes I'm a mentor, a friend, a father figure.  Other times I'm a bartender, hairdresser, psychologist.  Still other moments I am a comedian, a best friend, brother but always an ASSHOLE!

Today while "recommending" certain relationship advice, the thought came that this person needed to please his spouse with a deserved "Hallmark" moment.

Well shit...I'm not the type that goes to a Hallmark store and spends time nor money on cardboard "feels".

So what IF we had a Community Box kept at the gym for times just like this?

Here's the idea...Everyone has old cards sitting in drawers or on the desk, night stand that have been read or not written in as of yet.  I am going to put a box of unused or even previously written in cards in my gym for just this occasion.

YOU FUCK UP!  (rut roh)  You go over to the box and look for an appropriate card for your special kind of fuck up.  You ring "the bell" (much like the one the Navy SEALS use when they quit) to let everyone know you screwed the pooch and are now in the Hallmark box or "Wall of Shame".  The team can help you find words to make the situation all better, OR...better yet, one of the previously used and well written verses by someone else get the names crossed off and reused by YOU!  Brilliant!!!

When you get past the fuck up, you can then bring the card back and recycle it AGAIN.

What good things are happening here???

Recycling (both words and materials)

Conservation...no new trees need to be cut down

Eco friendly...the box is in the gym nice neat and safe

Team building...you can count on some people and get use to the ones who really put their efforts into the written word.

Creativity...Duh

I am T.M. ing this idea so you'll need to get my permission to put a box up in your work place, but we can have our lawyers touch base.

(or I have a card for that already)

TEAM!
