, I no sooner log about training while sick and why the heck would anyone come in during the flu and cold season with a virus and how they spread that stuff in the petrie dish we call "The Gym" then I catch something.
I have been trying to ignore the lousy feeling that comes along with this one because I don't breech my own rules like #67 which states, "no complaining".
Well, since I'm the one that writes the program and gives out daily assignments, I NEED to go to the gym and mix it up with people.
I've been keeping my distance, so as NOT to infect anyone but I can't help ONE person, because she sleeps right next to me.
Yesterday was my birthday and April tried SO HARD to rally, but I could tell, she got blind sided with a hit that she should probably go through concussion protocol.
We had a wonderful dinner that my folks prepared for us, including cake, but she sat there just forking it around the plate.
Neither of us slept. My coughing and her barfing reminded me of college when you had that special someone praying to the porcelain God by yelling RALPH down the pipes.
I hate it when I can't fix something immediately!!!
Well...we are BOTH at home right now. I am going to have to make an executive decision as to whether I think it's a good idea to mount up on a airplane and head to Denver for a hockey tournament, or bail.
I surely would hate the be that guy, sitting behind someone HACKING. The plane is another petrie dish of sort.
Then there is my son. He has his heart set on this. He's never seen snow falling, and the forecast for the "Pond" hockey portion is for snow. I imagine it's only a matter of time before his mother and I infect HIM with this round of flu.
The GOOD thing, I think I have found a most effective way to develop the "Combat Chassis " The amount of coughing that I have been doing has that entire girdle JACKED! My 8 pack rivals my wife's, and my lower back is sore. Thoracic back has been involved for much of the spasms.
I think I'm onto something! Now, if I can market it and make a bajillion dollars!!!
Stay tuned. More to come
Here's what I sent in to my brother in arms (back, chest, squats, bench AND dead lift) Al Hernandez. Thank goodness for this guy!
