No, I'm not going to be that guy that says..."Look at me, I trained while the rest of you did something else"  as if to make you feel guilty for actually taking some time and being Thankful.

Nope, the Selkows are going to be Top Notch Slackers in a few hours.  Watching football, cooking and eating like gluttons.

I did wake at my normal time and did NOT expect April to agree to a "wanna squat?" request.

So at 4:30 AM, we did:

169 reps of the GHR AND 10" SSB Yoke bar SQUATS.

THEN, we did max weight off a 12"box.  Needless to say it wasn't a PR, but it was extremely hard.

Now off to Game 2 of Silver Sticks against Hunter's old team.

He had a ton of assists last night and a goal in our 11-2 romp vs. ONE of the San Jose Sharks Squirt Teams.  THAT is a big program for sure.

Side note before going to the game yesterday, I had minor mouth surgery.

The Doctor was so nice, first giving me Nitrous, then some topical anesthesia, THEN the Novocain.  Explaining how awful it was going to be, (setting me up, I think) and that I should take Advil following the procedure as much as I need.

Long story short, I asked, "Are people that soft that you need to make sure they are nursed and burped?"  Because, NOTHING felt all that terrible.  Even at this writing, I have the metallic taste of some blood, but...I have that when I eat steak as I like it still mooing in terms of how cooked I like it.

Either that, or I had an absolute BUTCHER of a Dentist growing up.

Yea, that may be it.  "Pigs don't know pigs stink" .  I mean, I didn't know it was suppose to feel COMFORTABLE.  I just assumed the novocain and pain relief meds were NOT part of the program.  You sucked it up, griped the chair where the OTHER finger gouges were, and had your mouth ripped up.

This is NOT painful.  I can TELL you what PAIN is!!!
