Wrapping your knees isn't easy. It's even harder because there are so many misconceptions about how to use wraps and which one is "best." There is no best wrap, and there is no one "right way" to wrap — but there are a few general points that I highly recommend you follow.
Don't have time to watch the video? Here are the highlights:
- Forget trying to get an idea of what knee wraps are "best." You have to try a bunch and see which fits your body and style.
- The key thing to remember is that knee wraps provide tightness and casting. More material behind the knee = more casting. Stronger elastic = more rebound.
- Make sure you keep constant tension in the wrap as you put it on.
- Pull your foot back and flex the quad so that you can wrap the right part of your knee without bruising your calves or letting the wraps slip.
