I'm a fairly planned out coach. I map out a yearly plan then check our progress monthly, set up weekly objectives to meet the goal, write daily programs to organize and administer the workouts with minimal back up or glitches.
In this plan I take account for individual needs and address them on a week to week or daily basis.
HOWEVER, with my own training I'll get a Wild Hair up my butt and think, "Well now...this could be a good time and hard as fuck to do with a sprinkle of stupid just to make it interesting and macho". The reward is self satisfaction and if it works the gang might see it in their training in the future.
Henry David Thoreau wrote once "When my feet begin to move, my thoughts start to flow". Well, FUX yea he's right.
I get up first thing every morning and either run a 5K or Wind Sprints. There lies the problem! During a run I decided that I was going to up the stupid amount of volume that I already do of Pull ups, Chin ups, Dips and Push up work out by 100%.
Yesterday I went into full focus mode to achieve 500 of each exercise in as short a time as I could.
NOPE! Didn't happen.
500 pull ups on a fat grip bar...DONE (light band assisted)
500 Dips not assisted...DONE
I was approaching 250 mark on chin up and push ups when I dehydrated and started to cramp.
Normally I would push through, because "I finish everything I start" but I still had to commute on my bicycle and riding without arms is kind of hard. Doable, but really dangerous and hard.
Good thing I stopped, because right now these pipes won't straighten out. They look cool as fuck, but unfunctional!
I was out for my 5K run this morning and the contracture was evident. I keep smacking my chin with my hand when they spasm!
My Adult Coach mind tells me to hydrate and take today off. The never die Athlete tells me "We have a NEW MOTHERFUCKING GOAL"
"What the mind can conceive the human machine can achieve"
If you get a wild hair thought, I'd like to hear about it.
I not only want this...I feel I NEED this:
