This past summer, my son attended a "Hockey Camp" at the University of Michigan.  Long story short, after the first few hours of the week long camp, we determined that it was strictly a summer job for the staff of underclassmen hockey players, and the instruction was behind his ability.

Couple that with the fact that he was "the kid from California" and an outsider, his experience was  spiraling downward.

Instead of making him "gut this one out" for the sake of how I normally do things, I informed my son and wife that he didn't have to continue his experience in Ann Arbor. Far better to keep the  fire and the love of the game ablaze.

Hoping that we could be refunded at least partially for the unused portion (which as it turns out is all of it -1 day)  both April and I repeatedly contacted the people at the University of Michigan Hockey.

We are now in September and after numerous requests we finally had a representative get a hold of my wife only to tell her that they have NEVER had anyone drop out, and that they have a 100% adherence and basically giving her the LONG FORM of "Go Ef yourself".

Case closed.

As a business, the University of Michigan should take a lesson from Connecticut born Grocer, Stew Leonard..."Rule 1: The Customer is always right" and "Rule 2: When in doubt, refer to Rule 1"

As a coaching clinic, they are NO LONGER 100% adherence.  They lost my kid!  Happily we pulled him out so he wouldn't lose interest in the sport he has embraced.   THAT was NOT coaching.

When EliteFTS puts on an event, ALL participating "staff" kicks it into HIGH gear to accommodate the participants and IF we fail to meet the need of that participant, we will spend the extra time to make sure all get satisfied and leave with the information or the coaching, and mostly the IMPROVEMENT they came for.  "OVER DELIVER" is a credo at EliteFTS.

As a Sports Team, I can only hope that my kid will one day attend a rival of the U. of M.  So he can personally whoop their asses.  But until that time, I will NEVER support the pompous attitudes that are on display at that University.

May Michigan State and Ohio State lay a pronounced ass kicking on Michigan in ALL their sporting endeavors.  I am throwing away anything that remotely looks to support the Maze and Blue.

Terrible way to run a business fellas.  Perhaps a little humility would go a long way.
