Parallel Grip Biangular Chest Press with Band
Category: Supplemental
Muscles Targeted: Triceps, Shoulders and Chest
This is one way to take a great machine and make it better. The Magnum Chest Press offers a biangular motion, meaning the arms will swing in as you press, offering a better range of motion. The inside handles are the best choice if you are trying to target your triceps. As with any tricep press, it is the top half that is the most important. Because of this, a band is added by wrapping it around the back of the machine and attaching to the handles. The band used is usually a light band. Now you have a killer tricep movement.
Position yourself so your hands will be starting at the upper abdominal region and make sure to keep your elbows tucked as you perform the movement.
We have found 3-4 sets with repetitions in the 6-8 range to be the most beneficial for building the triceps.
