APF State meet December 15, 2019

Training

This bar used to give me a TON of trouble, after transitioning through many styles of squatting and different variations to build my squat this may be the best positioning I have been able to maintain, on average, over a period of time. I am learning to recruit my quads more as I was raised to always sit back more than anything else. These small changes that I fought for a period of time will slowly come together allowing me to be in a better position when the wraps get slapped on in 2 weeks, as well as, use more of the wrap.

MINI RANT - the only time the actual weight amount matters is on the piece of paper you call your training log. Really even then it doesn't matter, why? Cause at the end of the day it does not translate to you squatting 120 lbs more at the meet, it drastically varies for everyone. The last meet I took my opener with about 6 chains (120lbs at the top) guess what, that transferred to about 60 lbs more as my third attempt (less than half of the weight "at the top"). In even more lamens terms, if you squat 600 lbs and have 6 chains on that does not mean you are projected to hit a 720 squat at the meet... just saying
