I'm currently preparing for the 2016 USS Strongman Nationals which will be held on June 11th, 2016. My training focus is to continue to get stronger and prepare and peak for the events at Nationals. I'm working with teammate Mike Mastell on my nutrition and programming.
Today sucked. Training felt good, but getting used to my deadlift suit again wasn't fun. It's been 1 1/2 years since I've had my deadlift suit on. I forgot how uncomfortable that thing is. It was also pretty painful for my first two sets since I didn't have my suit in place and the bar kept pinching my thigh skin between the bar and the suit on each rep. The third set I finally had my suit worked into place and it felt great.
I was pretty happy with how things went today. I felt strong and the weights moved good.
