I'm currently preparing for the 2016 USS Strongman Nationals which will be held on June 11th, 2016. My training focus is to continue to get stronger and prepare and peak for the events at Nationals. I'm working with teammate Mike Mastell on my nutrition and programming.
The log felt really good today. Actually the best it's felt this whole prep for Nationals. The close grip still causes my shoulder some pain/discomfort, but nothing after the set nor the following days. I'm just being smart here and getting in some good work, and pushing it on days I feel good. I wanted to work up to 315 for my top set, but based on how it was feeling and the fact I typically train alone, it wasn't worth risking it.
