I'm currently training for USS "Hope for the Holidays" strongman competition that'll be in St. Louis on December 19th. I'll be competing in the max log clean & press and max deadlift events. I'm also still focusing on adding some size, but strength is my main emphasis. I'm working with teammate Mike Mastell on my programming. After competing in December my next competition plans will more than likely be USS Nationals or NAS Plat+ next summer.

The pec strained ended up being minor, however any pressing movements off the chest was out. So the standing pin presses took place of what I was originally programmed to do. My technique on log was really off, however I still hit the double I was wanting. The first rep I lost my balance on my clean which caused me to lose all my air. I still hit the press. On my second rep I didn't have my air because my technique was off from the start. I lost the log out in front of me and still somehow managed to walk forward under the log and almost strict press it to lockout. This tells me my press is strong at the moment. I'm excited to see what I hit on the 19th.
