I'm currently preparing for the 2016 USS Strongman Nationals which will be held on June 11th, 2016. My training focus is to continue to get stronger and prepare and peak for the events at Nationals. I'm working with teammate Mike Mastell on my nutrition and programming.

Nothing fancy here. Just chasing that pump and getting in the volume. In the flip flops, of course.

I was programmed to do RDLs and work up to a heavy set of 8. However, once I hit 225 I had a nagging old low back injury start to show it's presence. I stopped the set immediately. The volume, frequency and intensity that the low back has been putting up with these past few weeks was just starting to catch up with it. Luckily I know when to shut it down and how to prevent it from getting aggravated. So I'm not worried about it.
