Training today was a huge success, not only am I making progress with my bench stance and setup with THE Casey Williams, I benched all day today pain free in my triceps and elbows. I have been fighting this for over a year now and this whole three week cycle I have been under a straight bar mimicking the competition lifts. Usually this would result in pain, NOT TODAY!!! best set of todays work I would have to say was my fourth set which is for three reps, I stayed locked in and my hips nor legs loosened up off my chest.
Top set today (as heading states) was 325, everything felt fantastic on this, however, the reason this was not the best set of the day is you can see my leg drive and hips "let off" while the bar is on my chest and I then have to engage my leg drive and gluten while pressing off my chest. This is one of the issues Casey is working with me on and it is showing to be a habit I am going to have to break. I will be rolling up to the compound in late August to hopefully get some one on one cues with Casey.
