DEADLIFT DAAAAYYYYYYYYYYaaaaaaaaa
and it did not disappoint, this session was full of weight, straining, explosiveness, shit talking, AAANNNDDDDD dry heaving.... I had the majority of the crew with me today and one teammate in particular is very motivating to have around. It just so happens that our squat and deadlift numbers are basically the same, so when shit talk starts flying and egos rise there is only one way to compete with one another and that is to see who has the most speed breaking the bar off the floor and locking out. Garrett is a great motivation along with the rest of my training crew to have around to push me on "heavy" sets. It is also just a blessing to have the ability to train with a team again and not being solo.
Opposite Stance Deadlifts with straps today took me up to 550 for a single. I was pleased by how the weight felt (I did not feel anything poorly braced in my spine) but it could have moved slightly quicker.
The session ended with 4x15 on the reverse hypers. These never go well for me and after three weeks of doing them and having training partners push me I ended up like this ....
